My answer to this time challenge is the monument you see in these images. It is a
clock. A clock-sphere, symbolizing our World. Like the Earth
the clock-sphere consist of two halves. One is transparent; glass
representing the illuminated half of the Earth - the Day. The
other one is opaque metal, representing the dark half of the
Earth - the Night. The globe is an exact model of the Earth at
the scale 1:2,000,000. Thus the actual size of the clock is 6,37
meters in diameter, which makes it comprehensible by the human
measure. The sphere rotates around its axis - 1 spin each 24
hours. The thin red line is the Bulgarian meridian [the project
is located in Sofia, Bulgaria]. It is static and points North.
The engraved numbers from 1 to 24 on the globe's equator change
their position under the fixed meridian, due to the globe's rotation.
This is how the clock shows the exact local time at each moment.
