Lazor's house is called FLaTPak,
"a 'system' of pre fabricated components designed to
yield unique solutions." The kit
of parts is based on an 8' wide, one-story tall exterior
wall module. Depending on its location and the owner's desires,
each piece can have varying degrees of glazing and operability,
as well as different opaque cladding, recalling the composed
facade of the famous Eames
House. For the optimistically-titled FLaTPak house .001,
the architect's own house pictured here, the exterior is douglas
fir, white hardiboard, and two types of glass above an 8'
concrete base. |
