The building's most significant aspect
is the glass curtain wall, enclosing the new gallery at the north
facade, pictured here in the first three pages. In this full-height
wall the architects created an "active wall" that responds
the environment, including passers-by, with intelligent glazing
and lighting effects. Here the architecture attempts to parallel
the program, becoming one of the hands-on center's learning experiences.
