Oz Volume 25. Matthew Benfer, Amelia Nelson, Mike Stofiel, editors.

Oz, the Journal of the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design at Kansas State University's latest issue, #25, focuses on the house as the primary architectural form in architecture and its future potential. Throughout the 23 essays, projects and interviews, various ideas are explored, including domesticity, suburbanism, nomadism, and sustainability, all taking a critical stance towards the way humans dwell. Contributors include Mathias Klotz, Stephen Atkinson, Ply Architecture, and Tod Williams and Billie Tsien. Highlights include plexus r+d's analysis of the domestic condition in the films American Beauty and Fight Club, Todd Hido's eerie, suburban photographs (one finding its way to the cover) and Frank Harmon's design for a house in the Abacos Islands of the Bahamas.
